Lucky Buffet opened on Tuesday September 19th in a familiar location but with new ownership, new upper management, and a new name. They are ready to bring authentic Chinese flavors to Brown County and the local community. Located in the former Gomez Restaurant building at 716 W Commerce Street in Brownwood, their hours of operation will be Monday – Thursday 11am-9pm, Friday & Saturday 11-9:30, & Sunday 11-9pm.
Originally opening back in November of 2022 as A Taste of China, they still have the same great food but now with a brand-new Air-Conditioning system and the potential for an expanded menu.
They current manager, Alan Zheng, was also the manager of the previous business. “We are still the same but just with new ownership, new upper management, and the new name. For Lucky buffet, in the future we are even thinking about possibly adding different types of foods to the menu such as a Hispanic mix but will see how it goes.” said Alan “For now, we just want to open back up, create great Chinese food and make customers happy again”.
