Karen Andrews McMillan

Karen Andrews McMillan, age 63, of Bangs, received her heavenly body on Monday, September 4, 2023. A celebration of life for Karen will be held on Sunday, September 10 at 2:00PM at the Early Event Center. Visitation will follow the service lasting until 4:30PM. A graveside service for Karen will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, September 11, at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.

Karen was born in Tarrant County on April 7, 1960. Karen was known as the quiet and calm soul who loved her horses and dogs. You could always find Karen at the horse events. Strong animal lover she was and welcomed all sorts of animals. Karen graduated from Grapevine High School and moved to Brownwood, Texas. Graduating from Howard Payne University, Karen also managed the Brownwood Television Cable Office. Karen had three children who she devoted her life around. Karen had a love for music, as she played the clarinet in band. She enjoyed sitting next to the band during football games. Karen also could play the piano so beautifully.

Karen enjoyed the family road trips to the lake, where she enjoyed water skiing and diving. She also enjoyed the long trips to Colorado for snow skiing and camping. Later, Karen became knowledgeable in cactus plants. As she and her oldest became active in the Cactus Club Society. As grandchildren came, Karen’s interest grew, as she taught herself how to crochet and took to photography. She devoted her time to her grandchildren and was found attending their games and practices. Karens passion was her family and enjoyed learning the history of our family. She also enjoyed getting to share family recipes.

It was important to Karen that everyone knew God. Karen is loved by all and will be dearly missed. Karen’s passing leaves a void that words cannot fill.

She is survived by two of her children; Kevin O’Neal and wife Chelsey O’Neal, Misty Taylor and husband Nicholas Taylor; 6 grandchildren; Kade O’Neal, Chance O’Neal, Caleb O’Neal, Kambry Boyd, Bo Taylor and Cody Taylor; brother, John Andrews

Karen is preceded in death by her loving parents John and Barbara Andrews, her son Bobby O’Neal, and brother Craig Andrews.
