14U Bombers Sheffield win Oatmeal Festival tournament

14u Bombers Sheffield finished 1st out of 8 teams this weekend in the Oatmeal Festival tournament in Bertram. They outscored their opponents 52-14 on the weekend.
 Corinne Sheffield was chosen as tournament MVP by the opposing coach. Corinne hit .667 on the weekend and was 6-9 at the plate. She had 3 singles, 2 doubles and a triple. She drove in 6 runs. Corinne pitched 10 innings and had 12 strikeouts. She only allowed 4 earned runs on the weekend.
Andie Simpson was offensive MVP this weekend as she hit .700 on the weekend. She had 7 hits, with 5 singles and 2 triples. She drove in 8 runs and scored 7 times. Brenda Allen was defensive MVP as she pitched 6 innings, with 2 strikeouts. She only gave up 5 earned runs and was solid on the mound and at 1st base. She provided great leadership this weekend.
 Maty Quick also had a stellar weekend hitting .600. She had a single and two doubles. Adalynne Stephens and Paisley Herring were also explosive at the plate, both hit .500 on the weekend. They combined for 9 hits, 7 singles and two doubles. They drove in 10 runs and scored 12 times. Macy Mask also came up HUGE in the championship when she was subbed in to pinch hit, she launched a two run double off of the center field fence, which helped the team secure at 7-4 win in the championship.
