BROWNWOOD – Beginning Thursday, August 31, 2023, TxDOT’s contractor will begin a mill and fill project on US 377.
The project will affect all lanes from the intersection of 8th Street to the intersection of 18th Street. Work will begin on the outside lanes and then move to the inside lanes.
This work will occur on weekdays only. Various lane closures will occur. Milling will start on Aug. 31, and continue September 1, 5, 6 and 7. Lanes will reopen for the weekend, after milling is completed.
Various lane closures will again occur as an overlay of asphalt is applied the week of September 11-15. Work schedules are dependent upon weather and other unforeseen circumstances permitting.
Motorists are asked to use caution when driving in this area, reduce speed, avoid distractions, and watch for crews and equipment.
