The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of August 16:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 87-89 degrees; 6.78 feet below pool. Black bass to 6.87 pounds are good on shaky heads, crankbaits and soft plastic worms in 4-12 feet of water early and later in the day. Crappie are slow in brush piles and around the docks on minnows in 8-12 feet of water. White bass are fair to 1.00 pound schooling around the dam mid morning and late afternoon on jigs and small moving baits. Catfish are slow to 6 pounds on jug lines with prepared and cut bait.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water normal stain; 85 degrees; 10.01 feet below pool. Catfish, perch and bass are good in the shallows with worms, minnows and dough bait. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

SLOW. Slightly stained; 85-87 degrees; 7.35 feet below pool. Bass are good in the morning and evening in deeper water and around docks. Hybrids are schooling and can be caught with a rattletrap or topwater. Few reports of crappie.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

GOOD. Water stained; 85-89 degrees; 27.19 feet below pool. White bass are good live or plastic baits. Crappie are good live bait or jigs. Largemouth bass are good. Catfish are fair. Navigate with caution as the lake level drops, watching for exposed trees along the channel. Report by Concho Park and Marina.

LAKE PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 86-89 degrees; 11.78 feet below pool. Sowell Creek Boat ramp is the only ramp open. Catfish are good with cheese bait in deeper water. Crappie are fair on brush piles.
