The Pecan Valley Republican Women are back for their August meeting, and cordially extends an invitation to members of the community to attend their upcoming meeting Thursday August 17, 2023 6:00 pm at the Brownwood Country Club. PLEASE RSVP TO REBECCA, 325-998-3880 by Wednesday, August 16 to ensure enough food is prepared by the Country Club Buffet.

Our speaker this hot August day will be Tim Hardin!

The topics are hot of the press from the Texas 88th legislative session: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly:

We have heard from the politicians their version of what transpired and what they did, but Tim Hardin will give us the facts of what actually occurred at the Texas House and Senate and not just the version our elected officials will give us.  Should be a very informative meeting.  Tim is not a politician seeking votes, so is free to tell us the truth.

He will also be discussing the 14 proposed Amendments to the Texas Constitution. This is important for all Texans. Another subject he will be speaking on is the Impeachment of our AG Ken Paxton.

We know it has been and continues to be a very hot summer. So please make an effort to come and listen to answers to questions that so many of us have. And if you can bring someone with you and encourage others to come.

Tim Hardin serves as the president and CEO of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility. Tim has an undergraduate degree in philosophy and political science from the University of North Texas. He also earned his master’s degree in biblical studies from West Coast Baptist College. Tim is a small-business man and pastor and served as a chief of staff in the Texas House for eight years. He resides in Fort Worth with his wife, Luisa, and their five children, Elijah, Noah, Micah, Jeremiah, and Selah.
