The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of August 9:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 87-89 degrees; 6.50 feet below pool. Black bass to 8.84 pounds are good on jigs, shaky heads, crankbaits and soft plastic worms in 5-18 feet of water early and late in the day. Crappie are slow in brush piles and around the docks on minnows in 10-15 feet of water. White bass are fair to 1.00 pound, schooling around the dam mid morning and late afternoon on jigs and small moving baits. Catfish are slow to 3 pounds on jug lines and trotlines using perch and cut bait.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water normal stain; 85 degrees; 9.79 feet below pool. The lake is calm, and the wind is too mild for the heat. Water is cool under the surface, so jump in for a swim before you cast. Perch and catfish are biting good on worms in 10 feet of water. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

SLOW. Slightly stained; 85-87 degrees; 7.18 feet below pool. Bass are good in the morning and evening in deeper water and around docks. Hybrids are schooling and can be caught with a rattletrap or topwater. Few reports of crappie.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

GOOD. Water stained; 85-89 degrees; 26.93 feet below pool. White bass are good live baits and plastic baits. Crappie are good live bait or jigs. Largemouth bass are fair. Catfish are fair. Report by Concho Park and Marina.

LAKE PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 86-89 degrees; 11.52 feet below pool. Catfish are good with cheese bait in deeper water. Crappie are fair on brush piles.
