After 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, the Brownwood Fire Department and other local agencies responded to the call of a grass fire in the vicinity of FM 2525 and Hoover Avenue.

As of 3:30 p.m., the fire had burned an estimated 10-15 acres, according to Brown County Emergency Management, and firefighters were still on the scene.
