Brown County Grand Jury July 2023 Indictments

According to District Attorney Micheal Murray, during the July 2023 session of the Brown County Grand Jury, 23 true bills were returned against 23 persons.

Those indicted were:

  • Darrell W. Gallander – Failure to register as a sex offender
  • Jeffrey Lon Sumner aka Jeffrey Lon Sumnor – Driving while intoxicated, habitual offender
  • Rhonda Earp – Possession of a controlled substance
  • Christopher Gabriel – Driving while intoxicated
  • Phillip Lloyd Lemmons – Possession of a controlled substance, repeat offender
  • Stacey Elizabeth Bishop aka Stacey Oden aka Stacie Elizabeth Bishop – Felon in possession of a firearm, repeat offender
  • Bryan Dee Penn aka Bryan Dee Penn II – Ct. I: Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Ct. II: Vehicle involved in accident-failure to stop and render aid, repeat offender
  • Justin Bradley Waddle – Stalking
  • Joseph Lee Michael – Driving while intoxicated with child passenger
  • Roger Lee Clark – Failure to register as a sex offender
  • Heaven Michelle McClain – Possession of a controlled substance, state jail felony enhancement
  • Hope Michelle Ogden – Driving while intoxicated with child passenger
  • Jeffrey Hedt – Failure to register as a sex offender
  • Casanova Pressley – Ct. I: Assault against a pregnant woman. Ct. II: Assault family violence-occlusion
  • Brian Alan Stuart aka Brian Watson-Stuart – Aggravated assault wit ha deadly weapon
  • Jeremy Allcorn – Ct. I-II: Intoxication assault, repeat offender

The District Attorney’s Office does not release names on new indictments until after the Grand Jury proceedings have been processed through the District Clerk and a file marked copy of the Grand Jury Report has been returned.

The District Attorney’s Office does not release names of Defendants who have been indicted by a Grand Jury but not yet arrested because of an indictment being sealed until the time of arrest. In addition, names of individuals who have had no formal charges filed against them and who are no-billed by a Grand Jury will not be released by the District Attorney’s Office at this time.
