The Brownwood Police Department issued the following press release regarding Saturday’s funeral processions for Deputy David Bosecker:

Services for Eastland County Deputy David Bosecker will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 2:00pm at the Brownwood Coliseum. He passed away on July 21, 2023.

Initial Funeral Procession

Beginning at 11:45am, Deputy Bosecker will be escorted from Heritage Funeral Home Davis–Morris Chapel to the Brownwood Coliseum. The procession will leave the Davis–Morris Chapel parking lot onto Center Ave toward downtown, to Adams St. where it will turn south onto Adams St, toward Carnegie St. The procession will turn onto Carnegie St toward the Brownwood Coliseum. On Carnegie St, at Lee St, the procession will be joined by a select team Honor Guard where they will provide the ‘final walk’ escort to the coliseum.

This procession is expected to reach the Brownwood Coliseum at approximately 12:00pm.

Family Funeral Procession

Beginning at 12:45pm, the Bosecker family and friends will depart the Bosecker home off FM 45 (Access Rd) and travel west, toward US Hwy 377. They will travel north on US Hwy 377, into town and exit the highway at the frontage road of the Truman Harlow Overpass. The procession will then travel onto Carnegie St to the Coliseum.

This procession is expected to reach the Brownwood Coliseum at approximately 1:10pm.

The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm.
