Brownwood ISD is gearing up for the new school year. Pre-registration events for new students (any grade), as well as pre-k and kindergarten students, will be held on Tuesday, August 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at BISD Central Support Center (2707 Southside Drive).

Parents who wish to enroll their child in Brownwood schools for the first time, or those who might have questions regarding the registration process are welcome to attend.

For those applying for pre-k (ages 3-4) and kindergarten (age 5), applications must be completed in person, and a parent or guardian must provide the following documents: birth certificate, social security card, shot record, proof of residency, and a photo ID. To apply for Pre-K, the child must be 3 or 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2023. Currently enrolled 3-year-olds must requalify for the new school year. Additional information for pre-k eligibility can be found online at https://www.brownwoodisd.org/prek-k.

Parents and guardians of new and returning students can get started with the registration process for the upcoming year online by visiting https://www.brownwoodisd.org/registration.

We invite all prospective students and their families to join the Brownwood Lion’s pride as we continue to uphold our commitment to excellence in education. Brownwood ISD offers students an exciting learning experience utilizing the latest in technology and providing educational opportunities from pre-k through high school that prepare your student for success with a growing variety of pathways, dual credit offerings, and industry certifications. Brownwood ISD administrators, teachers, and staff are excited about the 2023-2024 school year, and we warmly welcome new parents, guardians, and students to become a part of the District of Choice.
