Billy French, age 48, of Brownwood, died Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at his residence.

The family will host a visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Grady Sanders and Matthew French officiating. Interment will follow in the Valera Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

He was born Billy Michael French on April 25, 1975, in Coleman to Bobby Joe French and Dorothy Ann Sanders French. He grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School. Billy then attended Texas State Technical College in Sweetwater.

Billy was a collector and seller of all things. He had a heart of gold and loved to give to others. He enjoyed going to garage sales to collect treasures that others did not want. Billy was a friend to all and loved unconditionally. He will be missed.

Billy is survived by one daughter, Diana Michelle Carr, and husband Justin of Coleman; his parents, Bobby and Dorothy French of Brownwood; his siblings, Grady Sanders and wife Angela of Galveston, Bobbie Mathis and husband Lonnie of Brownwood, and Delbert French and wife Shanda of Eastland; and multiple nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Pallbearers will be Cody French, Cameron French, Cole French, Xzavier French, Timothy Watt, and Jacob Watt. The honorary pallbearer will be Justin Carr.

The family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in memory of Billy be made to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.

We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the French family by signing the virtual guestbook on Billy’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com. Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the French family.
