Eight weekend performances at ‘The Addams Family Musical’ will take place at the Lyric Theatre in downtown Brownwood Friday, July 7 through Sunday, July 16.

The Lyric Theatre website says, “The Addams Family, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.”

Among the cast are Matthew McNiece as Gomez Addams, Tommie Bailey as Morticia Addams, Karis Rodgers as Wednesday Addams, Shannon Shae Sheehan as Puglsey Addams, Jonathan Harvey as Fester Addams, Domonique Glaeske as Grandma Addams, Levi Packer as Lurch, and Rickey Jones as Cousin It, Stephen Haynes as Mel Beineke, Catherine Smith as Alice Beinmeke, and Kaedon Robertson as Lucas Beineke, among others.

Direction by Billie Harvey, music direction by Danielle Rosborough, choreography by Tommie Bailey, technical direction by Nicholas Ewen, stage management by Doug Turner, costume design by Lilly Lee, prop management by Kris Henry, and photography by Shannon Dennis

Showtimes are July 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 7:30 p.m. and July 8, 9, 15 and 16 at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets to The Addams Family Musical are available at brownwoodlyrictheatre.com for $20 for adults and $15 for students.
