14u walked away with a 1st place finish at the Freedom Rings tournament this weekend. They  completed the weekend 5-0. The 14u was missing 4 team members who were out of town, and had several players from the 12u step up and play. 7 out of 12 players on the roster this weekend were 12u and they made key contributions all weekend.

Andie Simpson was tourney MVP. She hit .667 on the weekend. She had a homerun, two triples, one double and two singles on the weekend. Maty Quick was offensive MVP, as she hit .900 on the weekend. She also had 10 RBI’s on the weekend too.

Corinne Sheffield pitched 13 innings and had 17 strikeouts. Her ERA on the weekend was 1.077. Other teams batted .173 against her. Brenda Allen pitched 4 innings and had 4 strikeouts. She had a 0.00 ERA and teams hit .250 against her.

The Bombers organization is having fall tryouts July 12th at Bert Massey Sports Complex. 8u and 10u are at 5:30 and 12u and 14u are at 7:00pm.
