Rising Star will be hosting its Freedom Fest Saturday, July 1 with activities throughout the day.

Garage sales begin in the morning along with the Star Pride Bake Sale and Open Air Market downtown, where businesses will be open.

City park activities begin at 4 p.m. – including a corn hole tournament, food and drink vendors and water activities for kids – with the parade set to begin at 6 p.m.

Sabana River Band will perform at 7 p.m. with fireworks set to start at 8:45 p.m.
