Recent Bangs High School graduate Nate Stoffer and his mother, Bangs track and cross country coach Amanda Hargrove, were in an accident on an electric bike during a students/parents cruise to Cozumel, Mexico. Stoffer required emergency surgery and could not be released from the hospital until the bill was paid in full.

A Venmo page was created and several raffles were held to help raise funds, and the family was released from the hospital and flew back to Texas Sunday.

Hargrove posted the following on Facebook Sunday: “We are home! Thank you all for all your support, love, words of encouragement, fund raisers, the list goes on forever! We are blessed! We saw God doing his work!”
