Johnna Darlyne Dillard, 61, of Zephyr, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimers.

A Celebration of Life for Johnna will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, June 26, 2023, at the Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private at a later date. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 pm, on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Johnna was born to Walter and Lora Mae Richard on November 23, 1961, in Mineral Wells, Texas. She later moved to Brownwood with her family where she attended Early and Brownwood high schools. She married Steve Dillard on August 21, 1981, and they eventually moved to Zephyr, where they resided for nearly 30 years. Johnna worked at Early and Zephyr schools however, she is best known for her job as a cake decorator for many years. She always made the best cakes for loved ones, family, and friends. She was very creative and enjoyed crafting of any kind, especially her homecoming mums. Johnna loved doing for others and helping everyone in any way that she could.

She was an amazing and wonderfully made wife, mother, sister, aunt, and her favorite role – being a nana.

Although she will be dearly missed by so many of us, we are at peace knowing that she is with our Savior in Heaven and the many loved ones that have gone before.

Johnna is survived by her husband, Steve; daughters, Stephenie Dillard and Jessica Dillard; her grandchildren, Trace, Piper, and Paityn; sisters, Deborah, Beverly, and Mary; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Brandon Dillard; her parents, Walter and Lora Mae Richard; and her two brothers, Mike and James.

Condolences for the family can be made online at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
