Brownwood Lions junior pitcher/infielder Gavin Brandstetter was selected to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 4A All-State Team as a third-team pitcher.

Brandstetter posted a 7-3 record with 2 saves, a 1.14 ERA, 99 strikeouts and 22 walks in 61.2 innings of action. At the plate, Brandstetter hit .376 with 2 home runs, 21 RBIs, 12 doubles and a triple.

The Lions finished with a 22-11 record, an 8-4 league mark ,and were the second seed from District 6-4A for the playoffs, where they captured a bi-district championship over San Angelo Lake View.
