Isaac “Ike” Ratliff, age 75, of Coleman, died Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service celebrating his life at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman with Rev. Aaron Mitchell, pastor of Concho Baptist Church, officiating.  Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home.

He was born Isaac Lafayette Ratliff on April 4, 1948, in Lometa, Texas to Jessie Clarence Ratliff and Effie Lee Rolan Ratliff.  He grew up in Hamilton and graduated from Hamilton High School.  Ike then attended McLennan Community College in Waco where he received a degree in business management.  He married Carolyn Harris on June 2, 1967, in Hamilton.  Ike proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  Ike worked in the gas and petroleum industry as a service tech and manager for many years.  He served as a volunteer fireman and served on the chamber of commerce in Ranger, Texas.  Ike and Carolyn moved to Coleman in 1991 where he was a member of the Lions Club and Concho Baptist Church.

Ike enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with family.  He was a loving husband and very proud to serve the roll of grandpa.  His love, wisdom, and compassion will be missed.  He leaves behind an amazing legacy for his family.

Preceding Ike in death are his parents; one sister, Prissie Zbranek; and one brother, Bobby Dean Ratliff.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ratliff of Coleman; one daughter, Melissa Aaron and husband Randy of Coleman; one son, Bryan Ratliff and husband John of Dallas; two grandchildren, Jonathan McPherson and wife Tonja and Brandon McPherson; five great-grandchildren, Bethannie Rose, Jeighlyn McPherson, Daphnie McPherson, Wynter McPherson, and Layla Sotello; four step-grandchildren, Christopher Lee Aaron and wife Kay, Kevin Lynn Aaron, Marcos Aaron, and Carlos Aaron; six step-great-grandchildren, Latiza Aaron, Peyton Aaron, Candice Aaron, Harlie Aaron, Trevor Aaron, and Awbrey Aaron; and two brothers, John Mark Ratliff and wife Theresa and Joe Harold Ratliff and wife Judy.

The family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made in memory of Ike to the Coleman County Senior Center Meals on Wheels at 916 S. Concho, Coleman, Texas 76834.

We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the Ratliff family by signing the virtual guestbook on Ike’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com.  Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Ratliff family.
