The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release Friday regarding felony cases recently heard in 35th District Court by Judge Mike Smith.

• Chason Franklin, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone, was sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
• Taryn Jade Newby, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone, was sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
• Elizabeth Malone pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
