“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13

Ollye Aralia Snell, age 59, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

Funeral services for Ollye will be held at 10:00 am, on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Heartland Church in Brownwood with Dr. Donnie Young officiating. Viewing will be held prior to the service, and burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Ollye was born on February 15, 1964, in Aurora, Illinois, to Eleanor Francis Hardin, and was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She married the late Larry Brown on December 3, 1983, and preceded Ollye in death on January 3, 1999. Seven children were born to their union. On May 7, 2005, Ollye married Isaac Snell who preceded her in death on January 23, 2017.

Ollye loved going to church and praising God and served as Pastor Assistant to Bishop Ronald D. Harbin Sr. at Shekinah Glory Fellowship Church in Donaldsonville, Louisiana until her health declined. She enjoyed thrifting, shopping, and going out to eat. While Ollye birthed seven children, she was a mother to many.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Larry Brown II, Salacia Jones, Loreal Spears and husband John, Larry Brown III, LaVelda Brown and partner Aaron Clark, Angela Westley and husband Quintori, Timothy Brown and wife Annaston, and Titus Brown and wife Brianecia. Ollye is also survived by a host of grandchildren, a great granddaughter, nephew Mason Graham, niece Samantha Cross, several godchildren, a host of cousins, other family members, and friends.

Ollye was preceded in death by her mother Eleanor Francis Hardin, sister Hattie Graham, and a grandson Skyler Brown.
