John Weldon Weaver, born January 17, 1935 passed away on May 26, 2023 in Brownwood, TX where he grew up. John graduated from Texas Tech University as a civil engineer and later went on to marry Bernice Lunell Kirby on August 31, 1956. Together, they moved to the Dallas area so John could pursue his career in construction engineering and he later formed his own construction company with Herschel James in Marble Falls, Texas.
John and Bernice had three daughters, Lisa, Rhonda (Stephen Anderson), and Melanie, all of whom he is survived by. In addition, John is survived by his grandchildren, David Hanna (Diana Kinney Hanna), Candice Miles Bayron (Brandon Bayron), and great grandchildren Lucy Loraine and Theodore Wayne Hanna (children of David and Diana Hanna), and Benjamin Stevens and Eva Mari Bayron (children of Candice and Brandon Bayron).
John is preceded in death by his father Homer weaver, his mother Mary Cockrell Weaver, and his sister Juanita Weaver Schmidt.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM at Stacy- Wilkins Funeral Home, Goldthwaite, Texas. . Graveside service will be held at Big Valley Cemetery, Mills County, Texas at 1:00 PM. Interment at Big Valley Cemetery, Mills County, Texas.
