The Early Police Department issued the following press release Wednesday afternoon:

On May 16, the Early Police Department was notified that Arthur Eugene “Gene” Bannister, 88 years old from Brownwood, had passed away at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene.

Bannister was the passenger in a 2-vehicle crash that occurred on April 1sin the 400 block of Early Blvd. 64-year-old Michael Bannister also passed away during the crash on April 1.

The case investigation is complete and will be submitted to the District Attorney for review.
