Brownwood’s Memorial Day  program will be on Monday, May 29, 2023 at 11 AM at the Central Texas Veterans Memorial. The program is a tribute to Gold Star families and relatives who sacrificed a loved one for our freedom. Captain Paul Wade, commander of American Legion post 196 and zone commander of American Legion district 21, will be the master of ceremonies. Navy commander chaplain Jim Looby will give the Keynote address. We will dedicate plaques honoring Brigadier General Stephen Korenek and honoring military families and spouses.
