Anna Jo (Lewis) Miller, age 76, of Brownwood passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer.

Funeral service for Anna will be at 10:30 am, Monday, May 15, 2023, at the Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Slaymaker officiating. Burial will follow at the Winchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 5:00 pm, Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Anna was born on August 5, 1946, in Brownwood to Arlie and Ada (Rogers) Lewis. Anna loved to be with family and friends. Some of her favorite activities included fishing, painting pictures of nature and wildlife scenes, woodworking, gardening, crocheting, cooking (especially in Dutch ovens) with Maurice for family and friends. She also loved to write poetry and had a few of her poems published.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Maurice Connell of Brownwood; son, Danny Foster and wife, Cassie of Littlefield, Texas; son, Garry Foster and wife, Lisa of Watagua, Texas; daughter, Tamme Ells and husband, Robbie of New Lisbon, Wisconsin; sister, Betty Stephens of Weatherford, Texas; 15 grandchildren, Larammie Foster, Josh and Jennifer Foster, Amber (Foster) and Nathan Watkins, Cory Foster, David Cofer, Rachell Cofer, Austina Mock, Vincent Foster, Garry Foster Jr., Fatima Foster, Wesley Aguilar, Colton Aguilar, Elisabeth (Ells) Hogan, and Kassandra Ells; 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie and Ada (Rogers) Lewis and a brother-in-law, Travis Stephens.
