Brown County Sheriff’s Report: May 1

  • On Friday, April 28, at about 3:36 p.m., Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a theft call located at Harbor Dr. in May. A victim stated there were several items, were taken off his property. Information was collected and a report was made.
  • On Friday, April 28, Deputy Saydie Bradley spoke with a suspect in regard to the ongoing public nuisance on his property at Lough Ree Dr., Brownwood. The suspect was issued a Written Warning and a 30-Day Notice. A report was made.
  • On Saturday, April 29 at about 2:42 a.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Ranch Hand Ln., Cross Plains. This was in regard to a domestic disturbance. Deputy Langley spoke to a victim who stated his wife had assaulted him after a verbal argument.
  • On Saturday, April 29 at about 3:32 p.m. Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to an illegal dumping call located at County Road 338, Brownwood. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On Saturday, April 29, at about 4:02 p.m. Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to the Brown County Jail, located West Commerce St., Brownwood. This was in reference to an assault in the jail between two inmates. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On Sunday, April 30 at about 11:53 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Hwy 279 N, Brownwood. This was in regard to a vehicle fire. Deputy Langley spoke to the victim who stated his vehicle was on fire and he did not know how the fire started. The victim stated his daughter had just broken up with her boyfriend, who he thought might be responsible.
