The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce recognized three of City of Brownwood employees who graduated from the 22/23 Leadership Brownwood Class – Dana Sons, Director of Information Technology; Jody Horton, Assistant Fire Chief; and Debbie Childs, General Manager of Community Facilities.
Leadership Brownwood began in the mid-80’s by the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce as a community leadership development program. The eight-month program is dedicated to educating, developing, and empowering current and future leaders for the community and motivating them to serve civic, charitable, and business organizations. The insights participants gain as they explore the inner workings of the community serves as a foundation for their long-term involvement in Brownwood in various leadership roles.
