Ernest Cyr, age 63 of Brownwood passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Midtown Church (1813 3rd Street) in Brownwood. A private interment will be held at Rocky Creek Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Ernest was born June 28, 1959, in San Pablo, California, to the late Ernest and Dolores Engle Cyr. He loved his family, barbequing, and watching his grandchildren in all their sports and endeavors.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 44 years of love and laughter, Dana Cyr of Brownwood; daughter, Annessa O’Neill and son-in-law Cory O’Neill of Frisco; daughter, Amanda Clippinger and son-in-law Rusty Clippinger of Brownwood; daughter, LaDona Cyr of San Angelo; son Jerod Cyr, of Springtown and daughters-in-law Kerstan and Stephanie King of Zephyr; grandchildren, Kingston and Izaiah O’Neill, Brooks, Reese, and Avery Clippinger, Katrina and Katelynn Parker, Kirstan and Kade King, and Tripton Brewster; sister, Mary Cyr of San Angelo; and a nephew, Robert Forbes also of San Angelo.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Dolores Cyr.

The family asked that in lieu of flowers, gifts, or donations can be made in Ernest Cyr’s name to the Brown County Prison Ministry at P.O. Box 1031 Brownwood, TX 76801.
