Brown County Sheriff’s Report: April 20

  • On Tuesday, April 18 at 2:42 p.m., Deputy Ricky Herring made contact with a complainant over the telephone, via dispatch. This was in reference to dogs chasing her sheep earlier in the morning. Deputy Herring contacted the complainant for an attempt to find the dog(s) in question, which was chasing her sheep. The dog was located and so was the dog’s owner. A citation was issued for None Vaccinated Dog and the owner was issued a Dog Prohibited from Running At Large form. A report was taken.
  • On Tuesday, April 18, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to Lindley Drive in May. This was in regard to someone shooting at dogs. Geis spoke to the owner of the dogs, who said they were on his neighbor’s property eating a dead goat when the neighbors shot at his dogs. Geis also spoke to the owners of the goat. They claimed the dogs were acting aggressive toward their livestock. Information was gathered, and a Dog Prohibited from Running at Large was issued to the owner of the dog. A report was made.
  • On Wednesday, April 19, at about 12:32 p.m., Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a found property call located off North 279 in Brownwood. The found property was a pistol. Information was collected, and a report was made.
  • On Wednesday, April 19, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of a domestic disturbance. The caller advised she was in a vehicle, which was being rammed by the driver’s ex-wife as they were driving down the roadway. Contact was made with all parties at a residence on Cork Dr. and after further investigation, all parties were separated, and a report was made.
  • On Wednesday, April 19 at 8:15 p.m., Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to Hwy. 279. This was in regards to a burglary. The complainant advised dispatch her residence had been broken into. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who advised her residence had been burglarized on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Information was gathered, and a report was taken.
  • On Wednesday, April 19 at 10:48 p.m., Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to CR 110. This was in regards to a deceased person. Dispatch advised the wife stated her husband was deceased. Upon arrival, contact was made with the wife. Information was gathered, and a report was taken.
