MOUNT PLEASANT – Blanket Lady Tiger Karli Kinkade qualified for the UIL Class A girls golf tournament by winning the Region III-A championship earlier this week.

Kinkade fired rounds of 86 and 84 for a 170 composite score. Kinkade also won the District 18-A championship with a round of 87 back on April 4.

Kinkade is coached by her sister, Marki Kinkade, who won team and individual state championships at Blanket in the springs of 2017 and 2018.

The UIL Class A girls golf state tournament will take place May 15-16 at Plum Creek Golf Course in Kyle.
