Carol Mayo Humiston, age 83, of Canyon Lake, Texas passed to the arms of her Jesus on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 12:18 a.m. at her daughter’s residence in Gouldbusk, Texas.

Private family service will be Friday, April 21, 2023 at the San Geranimo Cemetery in Seguin, Texas with burial to follow.  Services are in the care and directed by Henderson Funeral Home Staff of Coleman.

She was born Carol Allen Mayo on February 2, 1940 in Rochester, New York to her loving parents Ray Allen and Mary Jane Anderson Mayo.  Carol was raised in Rochester attending and graduating from the Columbia All Girls School.  She moved to Mission, Texas where she established her business Carol’s Cleaning.  Carol loved the beach and water and spent her free time enjoying nature and all it provided.  She moved to Canyon Lake in her retirement and enjoyed her surrounds and friends

Survivors include daughter – Jane & husband Marty Avants of Gouldbusk, Texas; 1 sister and 4 brothers; 5 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She preceded in death by her parents and friend Bill Zies.
