The American Southwest Conference today announced its weekly softball awards and Howard Payne University’s Bree Cason was recognized as the ASC Co-Pitcher of the Week.

Howard Payne junior right-handed pitcher Bree Cason (Telephone, Texas) went 3-0 for the week boosting the Lady Jackets to a 4-1 record for the week. Cason started the week with an 8-0 shutout win in five innings at Austin College striking out four and allowing just three hits. She followed that up the next day with an 8-0 no-hitter, striking out three versus conference opponent University of the Ozarks. In the third game of the Ozarks series, she recorded her third win of the week another 8-0 victory in six innings. For the week, she held batters to a .105 avg. while striking out nine in 17.0 total inning pitched.
