Brown County Sheriff’s Report: April 18

  • On Friday, April 14, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of an accident. The complainant advised a tire had come off a tractor trailer and damaged his fence. A report was made.
  • On Saturday, April 15, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of a deceased person. The caller advised her 97-year-old friend had passed away. A report was made.
  • On Saturday, April 15, Sgt. Chris Angel met with a complainant at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center. This was in reference to harassment. The complainant has been receiving numerous phone calls and text messages from a suspect from March of 2023 till the present date. The complainant told the suspect to stop, and he has failed to do so. The complainant wishes to pursue charges on the suspect for Harassment.
  • On Saturday, April 15 at about 7:44 p.m, Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Hwy 279 N. Brownwood. This was in regards to a theft. Deputy Langley spoke to a victim, who stated her knife had been taken from her bedside without her consent.
  • On Sunday, April 16 at about 6:46 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at the Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood located at Crockett Dr., Brownwood. This was in regard to an animal bite. Langley spoke to a victim who stated he was bitten by a skunk in his garage.
  • On Monday, April 17 at approximately 5:02 p.m., Deputy Francisco Valencia was dispatched to W. Main Blvd. This was in regard to a domestic disturbance. A suspect was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On Monday, April 17 at approximately 5:10 p.m., Deputy Francisco Valencia was dispatched for a follow up, by phone call, regarding theft. Deputy Valencia was provided information about a lawn mower and trailer being stolen. A report was made.
  • On Monday, April 17 at approximately 7:37 p.m., Deputy Francisco Valencia was dispatched for a call regarding a violation of protective order. The protective order was issued in another county; however, the incident took place in Brown County. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On Monday, April 17 Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle an illegal dumping call. A suspect had allegedly dumped household trash on a property. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
