According to the Brady Standard Newspaper Facebook page, 7 non-English speaking men were injured early Sunday morning when they crashed on the downtown Brady square around 2:30 a.m.

The driver of the Chevy pickup attempted to evade the Brady Police Department officers who tried to initiate a lawful traffic stop. The vehicle was clocked at nearly 75 m.p.h. just before it crashed.

The truck struck the curb, a trash can and large tree before bursting into flames on the courthouse lawn.

All seven individuals sustained injuries in the crash. They were taken to the hospital and later transported to various trauma centers for further treatment.
