The third round of Birdies on the Bayou saw some tough wind conditions early in the morning, but laid down as the day went on. Facing a breezy mid-morning through the afternoon, the field had to adapt to conditions on what turned out to be a beautiful moving day.

Tanner Gore (El Paso, TX) started and finished in the lead, firing an 8 under par 62 for round 3, putting him at a total of 19 under par heading into the final round. Joining Gore at the top is Paris, Texas native, Tanner Napier. Napier fired an impressive bogey-free 9 under par 61, also giving him a total of 19 under par. The two boys will no doubt be battling it out all day to claim the solo lead and being named the 2023 Birdies on the Bayou Champion. Hot on their tails is a new face this season, Ryan Hall from Knoxville, Tennessee. Hall had one of the better rounds of the day, up there with Napier, shooting 9 under par 61, climbing the leaderboard a few spots to put him one shot behind the leaders at a total of 18 under par in solo second. Hall will be looking to fight for that lead throughout today’s final round. The lead pairing will feature Gore, Napier, and Hall teeing off 11:10 AM CT.

The final round will begin at 8:00 AM CT with the leaders teeing off at 11:10 AM CT. Players will be paired according to score. The field will be competing for their share of the $130,000 purse and the winner will take home $22,000.
