How does a daughter write an obituary for her mother? By the grace of God.

Our beloved mother Annie Marie (Ann) Jacobson was born on February 9, 1939, and was escorted to heaven on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, at the age of 84. We as a family are honored that our Savior Jesus on Resurrection Sunday chose the same day to resurrect our mother, grandmother and great grandmother to Heaven.

She had five children, Terrie Jacobson Bitter married to Jim Bitter of Lake Brownwood, TX, Deborah Jacobson Shepherd married to Jerry Shepherd of Brownwood, TX, Kim Jacobson Marquis married to Rich Marquis of Athens, AL, Raymond Jacobson married to Kerri Jacobson of Early, TX and Craig Jacobson married to Shanna Jacobson of Brownwood, TX.

She also had 16 grandchildren, Bryan Bell of Georgetown, TX, Brandon Bell of CA, Derek Cochran of Brownwood, TX, Chad Cochran of Pflugerville, TX, Jerry Lee Shepherd of Texarkana, TX, Jason Shepherd of Palestine, TX, Justin Jacobson of Dripping Springs, TX, Mitchell Jacobson of Brownwood, TX, Kaitlyn Levett of Houston, TX, Amber Nicholas of Mansfield, TX, Jessica Moore of Leander, TX, Nathaniel Marquis of Austin, TX, Blanca Marquis of Austin, TX, Richard Marquis, Jr. of Austin, TX, Meagan Person of Brady, TX and Courtney Jacobson of Austin, TX and their spouses (if any).

Also, 21 adorable Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Wayne Jacobson, her mother and father – Raymond and Annie Miller and her sister – Shirley Rosenbeck and brother Raymond Miller, Jr. and her great granddaughters – Autumn and Amelia Nicholas.

Momma and Daddy left Lake Tawakoni, TX to move us to Brownwood where Daddy had family. Who would have known that Brownwood would become our home in 1972.

Mother was a member of Coggin Ave. Baptist Church. She had many friends that she line-danced with for exercise and fun. I saw on Easter Sunday after she passed, a frame that said friends as they were wearing funny straw hats and outfits from her line dancing class. She loved to go to the nursing homes with the group to bring joy to those that were shut in. Our mother NEVER sat still!

Mother always told us that she wants us to always get along and not fuss. She told me that she was ready to go “home” and was comforted that her children and their families were all Christians and were married to spouses that loved them, so she had no need to worry.

She was a tremendous influence on so many. Always faithful and true and full of personality as a dear friend said.

We will dearly miss our mother’s laughter and lectures sometimes, but she lives on in each of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren’s hearts. We are her legacy.

We love you Mom more than you love us because you have loved us only part of your life, but we have loved you all of ours!

Ann’s family will host a visitation from 6 to 8 pm Sunday, April 16th at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Funeral Services will be 2 pm on Monday April 17th in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at the Rochelle Cemetery, Rochelle, Texas.

Online condolences, memories and tributes can be made to the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.
