The Early Police Department posted the following additional details on Saturday’s fatality accident:

The Early Police Department is continuing the investigation of the fatal accident that occurred on Saturday, April 1 at approximately 2:24 p.m. in the 400 block of Early Blvd.

The driver of the 2021 Nissan was 19-year-old Sarah Ann Reeves from Brownwood. The occupants of the 2005 Chevrolet Suburban were 64-year-old Michael Gene Bannister of Brownwood and 88-year-old Arthur Eugene Bannister, of Brownwood.

Sarah Reeves and Michael Bannister were both transported to Hendrick Medical Center-Brownwood where Michael Bannister died from his injuries. Sarah Reeves was treated and later released. Arthur Bannister was flown by Air Evac to Hendrick Hospital North in Abilene where he is recovering from his injuries.

At this time the cause of the accident is still under investigation. Officers are preparing search warrants to obtain computer data from the vehicles involved and DPS is assisting with the determination of what caused the crash.
