Nyla Dell Rosenstrom

Nyla Dell Rosenstrom, age 78, of San Angelo, Texas passed to the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Shannon Medical Center.

Services will be Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00 am at the White Chapel Cemetery with interment to follow directed by Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman.  Visitation is Thursday from 9:00 till 12:00 noon at Henderson Funeral Home.

She was born December 12, 1944 to Otto and Lena Faye Childs Irby in Martinez, California.  Nyla Dell was raised in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School in 1963 and continued her education at Angelo State University. As a member of the ASU Choir she loved gospel music.    She had been a resident of San Angelo where she was a member of the First Baptist Church.  Her favorite vacation spot was Colorado and she loved spending time with her son and grandson.  Nyla Dell was happy and loved to meet new people and square dancing.  She enjoyed watching birds, flowers and watching Gun Smoke.

Nyla Dell worked for San Angelo ISD for 30 years in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades and also taught school in Japan.

Survivors include Son – Jason P Rosenstrom of San Angelo, Texas; Grandson – Aaron J Rosenstrom of San Angelo, Texas; Cousin- Carla Billings; Special Childhood Friends – Kay Sprinkles, Sherry Watson, Penny Parker Smith, Arlene Vurroughs, Donna Haynes, Joleta Long Harris, Lois (Albright-Wallace) Joplin.
