In an email received from the City of Brownwood Tuesday morning, two candidates have now filed to run for the vacant City Council Ward 4 position formerly occupied by the late Draco Miller.

Those who have filed to run are Draco A. Miller, the son of the former council member, as well as Jim Byars. The filing period continues through April 6. Citizens who wish to file for the election must reside in Ward 4.

The special election will take place June 10.
