EARLY – The Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 3A No. 12 Early Lady Horns kept their flawless District 8-3A softball record intact with a narrow 1-0 home victory over Breckenridge Friday.

In a scoreless tie heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, Early (19-3-2, 6-0) produced the only run as Aubrey Greaves reached on a single, then moved to second base on a dribbler to the pitcher by Marissa Reedy. Grace LaRue then stepped to the plate and delivered an RBI single up that middle that drove in Greaves with the game’s only run.

The Lady Horns will visit Comanche Tuesday to wrap up the first half of league play.
