Linda Ann Drew, age 81, of Early, Texas completed her earthly journey on March 19, 2023. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Greenleaf Cemetery, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Linda was born in Comanche, Texas on March 29, 1941 to Pearl Mavis (Emory) Waldon and Marcel Harvey Waldon. She married the love of her life, Billy D. Drew, on June 20, 1958 at the First Baptist Church in Bangs, Texas. Linda and Billy D. Drew resided in Early, Texas and were married for 40 years; during which time they raised their 3 children Nancy, Pat, and David. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Anyone who knew or met Linda could tell how much she absolutely adored her grand and great-grand babies. This was evident in her expressions when she would talk about them, which was every chance she could. She was dearly loved and will forever be missed.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Nancy Jo Rector of Crossville, Tennessee; sons, Pat Wesley Drew and wife Marcie of Early, Texas; David Wayne Drew of Early, Texas; 5 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her long-time friends, Linda Oath and Kay Humphries.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. Drew; both parents; sisters, June Perry and Katherine Burnside; son-in-law, Thurman Rector; daughter-in-law, Wanda Drew; grandsons, Andrew David Rector and Leslie Drew.

It is never goodbye…only until we meet again.

The family request that in lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude’s Research Hospital in Linda’s name.

Condolences, memories and tributes can be offered to the Allison family at heartlandfuneral.com.
