BANGS – The Bangs Dragons suffered their first District 7-2A baseball defeat Tuesday night, falling at home to the Hamilton Bulldogs, 5-0.

Bangs (10-5-2, 2-1) mustered just four hits and committed four errors as Hamilton scored once in the top of the second inning and added two runs each in the fourth and fifth frames.

Zack Ferguson, Kenny Cole and Skylar Minshew saw action on the mound, yielding three earned runs on six hits with 11 strikeouts and one walk.

The Dragon offense was limited to singles by Ethan Ethridge, Nate Stoffer, Hunter Crowell, and Cole.

The Dragons will attempt to rebound at 7 p.m. Friday when they visit Goldthwaite.
