The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of March 15:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

SLOW. Water stained; 59-62 degrees; 8.58 feet below pool. Black bass to 8.64 pounds are excellent on jigs in 4-12 feet of water on flats around spawning areas, and using Alabama rigs and crankbaits around the rocky shoreline near pre-spawn areas with a few on beds. Crappie are excellent toward the mouth of the creeks in 2-7 feet of water staging for the spawn near the 279 Bridge. White bass are slow and scattered near the mouth of pockets on crankbaits. Catfish are slow on cut bait.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water stained; 53 degrees; 8.49 feet below pool. Crappie are still spawning with a good bite in the evening using minnows. Bass are hitting throughout the day on jerkbaits. Channel catfish are biting on worms. Report by Jason Miller, Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

SLOW. Slightly stained; 63 degrees; 5.55 feet below pool. Bass to eight pounds are good on crankbaits and spinnerbaits near the river.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

GOOD. Water stained; 60 degrees; 23.89 feet below pool. Largemouth bass are good using soft plastics. White bass are fair with live bait and crankbaits. Crappie good using minnows. Catfish are good on live bait. Report by Concho Park and Marina.

LAKE PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 60 degrees; 9.29 feet below pool. Blue catfish are biting cut bait. Focus on drop-offs in deeper water. Report by Jeffery Sojourner, Sojourner Fishing LLC.
