The Brownwood Lions track and field team placed eighth at the Big Spring Invitational on Friday.

Leading the way for the Lions were:

• Tyse Savage – 2nd place – 200m Dash
• Aaron Edmonds – 3rd place – Jong Jump
• 4x200m Relay – 3rd place – Tyse Savage, Aaron Edmonds, Brayden Daub, Jake Jetton
• 4x100m Relay – 4th place – Tyse Savage, Brayden Daub, Jake Jetton, Aaron Edmonds

The JV Lions also competed and came in fifth:

• Stone Ratliff – 1st place Pole Vault, 1st place 300m Hurdles
• Trent Loftin – 1st place 110m Hurdles, 3rd place – Shot Put
• 4x100m Relay – 3rd place – Stone Ratliff, Carson Noe, Reese Bishop, Levi Pearson
• Reese Bishop – 5th place – Long Jump
• Levi Pearson – 6th place – Pole Vault
• 4x400m Relay – 6th place – Dallas Shumaker, Stone Ratliff, Carson Noe, Zakk Zabecki
