Brown County Sheriff’s Report: March 10

  • On Thursday, March 2, Deputy Saydie Bradley spoke with suspect at the Law Enforcement Center. This was in regard to the ongoing public nuisance at Belfast. The suspect was issued a 30-Day Notice and two written warnings. A report was made.
  • On Friday, March 3, Deputy Saydie Bradley spoke with a suspect at a residence, which has burned, in the 67000 block. This was in regard to the ongoing public nuisance on the property. The suspect was issued a 30-Day Notice to Abate the property and two written warnings. A report was made.
  • On Friday, March, at about 8:15 p.m., Deputy Chris Williamson initiated a traffic stop located at Highway 377 E and Pitts Lane in Blanket. The Standard Field Sobriety test was conducted on an individual who was arrested for DWI.
  • On Saturday, March 4 at about 13:58 p.m., Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a trauma located at FM 2492, Brownwood. The deceased person was found unresponsive. Information was gathered, and a report was done.
  • On Tuesday, March 7, Deputy Toby Mathis spoke with an individual in regard to theft of property and firearms. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On Tuesday, March 7 at 6:25 p.m., Deputies Ricky Herring and Gene Smith were dispatched to FM 585 North. This was in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, information was gathered, and an arrest was made for Assault Class “A” Misdemeanor (Family Violence). A report was taken.
  • On Tuesday, March 7, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Sgt. Andre Smoot was dispatched to an animal cruelty call where a dog was locked up inside of a storage unit located at Belle Plain. The storage unit, which was listed as not rented, was opened by cutting a lock and the dog was taken to be cared for by a vet. A report was completed and sent for further investigation for animal cruelty.
