Charles Dewitt “Dee” England, age 78, of Brownwood passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services for Dee will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church with Brother Tim Skaggs officiating. Visitation for friends and family will be held prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. at the church. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Dee was born on December 12, 1944, to Charles Frances England and Ina Belle (Bruner) England. He was a lifetime resident of Brownwood and graduated from Brownwood High School in 1964. Dee retired from Atmos Energy after 35 years of service. An avid outdoorsman and rancher with a heart of gold, Dee was quick to help anyone in need. At a moment’s notice he would give you the shirt off his back if needed. He loved children and was known to always have a pocketful of candy to hand out. Dee was a loving Husband, Dad, and Gran Gran.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 55 years, Glenda Knutson England; daughter, Dee Anna Dodd and husband Cully; son, Dale England and wife Brandi; daughter that chose Dee, Jeina Hooker and husband Morsello; grandchildren, Tia Dodd, Easton England, Caleb McCullough, Brooklynn McCullough, Morsello Hooker, and Demayha Hooker; sister, Ina McBride and husband Larry; brother, Finley England and wife Carol; brother-in-law, Ronny Knutson and wife Marla; nieces, Liz and husband Tom Pfieffer, Christy and husband David Weas, Lori Primavera, Lena England, and Lisa Clawson; and nephews, Wes Knutson and Wade Knutson. He is also survived by many cousins, great nieces and nephews, and other family members.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Brown County Fair Association (P.O. Box 1101) or to a charity of your choice.

Online condolences for the family are welcome at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
