Jimmy Roy Hallmark, age 75, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023, in Brownwood surrounded by his family. A visitation for Jimmy will be held on Monday, March 6, from 6 to 8PM at Heartland Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1PM on March 7, at Mount Zion Cemetery in Erath, County.

Jimmy, the fourth of six children, was born to Jess and Irene Hallmark in Gorman, Texas on November 17, 1947. In the years that followed, while residing with his family in both Rotan and Gorman, he pursued his passion for music by becoming an accomplished guitar player and self-taught musician. On March 11, 1977, Jimmy married his wife of 45 years, Vickie Reynolds Hallmark, in a small ceremony in Carbon. Throughout his life, he maintained a devotion to his family that never wavered and was everlasting. Just as his devotion to his family was unshakeable, so was his devotion to his Christian faith. Jimmy became a Christian and was baptized at an early age. His faith sustained him through many life trails, and it was his faith in Jesus Christ that he imparted to each of his children. Jimmy became a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Freemason in 1970, and for 53 years he remained devoted to living in a manner that was always honorable.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Vickie Hallmark; son, Devyn Hallmark; daughters, Laura Hallmark and husband Beau Sirois, and Lori Redman and friend Harvey McKinley; grandchildren, Hannah Brown, Caleb Minister and wife Paula, and Brittany Cotton; and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Irene Hallmark; brothers, Troy, Verl, and Ronnie Hallmark; and sisters, Wilma Cordell and Carolyn Reed.

Online condolences, memories and tributes can be made to the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.
