Charlotte “Sue” Wells Mann, 78, of Owens passed away suddenly on February 22, 2023, at home.

She was born to the late Mildred Day and Leonard “PeeWee” Wells in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 15, 1944.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years William “Butch” Mann. They married Sept. 14, 1961 in Brownwood. Sue enjoyed being with family, taking long vacations, four-wheeling and traveling the back country and back roads.

Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Mann Musick of Owens and husband Danny, Lisa Mann Wade of Palestine and husband Tony. Sue was affectionately known as Ninni to four grandchildren, Cody Wade and wife Eibhlin, Chase Musick and wife Cheyenne, Chance Musick and wife Lauran, and her running buddy Corey Wade, and six great-grandchildren, Brayden, Madeleine, Braxton, Ethan, Cole, and Carbyn.

Other survivors include sisters, Sandra Woodcox and husband Joe, and Jackie Stringer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In honor of Sue’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service, instead we will have a family gathering to be announced at a later date. Ninni was the heart and soul of the family and loved dearly by all.

Condolences, memories, and tributes can be offered to the Mann family online at heartlandfuneralhome.com.
