CLYDE – The May Tigers’ basketball season reached its conclusion in the Region II-A area round of the playoffs Friday night despite a furious rally, as the No. 20 Munday Moguls prevailed, 49-45.

May (26-6) trailed Munday (28-4) by a 16-9 count after one quarter and 31-16 at halftime, but closed the gap to 36-26 heading into the final eight minutes where the Tigers owned a 19-13 scoring edge, but couldn’t complete the comeback.

Zach Martin paced May with 16 points followed byBen Harrell with 10, Braden Steele with eight, Luke McKenzie with six, and Bryson Guerrero with three points.
