WINTERS – The District 13-A co-champion May Tigers advanced to the second round of the playoffs Monday night by earning a 68-50 bi-district victory over the District 14 fourth seed Ira Bulldogs.

May (26-5) led 15-11 after one quarter, trailed 26-25 at halftime, but regained a 44-42 lead through three periods and outscored the Bulldogs 24-8 over the final eight minutes.

Braden Steele paced the Tigers with 25 points trailed by Zach Martin with 14, Luke McKenzie with 12, Ben Harrell with eight, and Bryson Guerrero with seven points.

The Tigers will face either Munday or Roby, who square off Tuesday night, in the area round later this week.
